Our Little Rock Materials Recovery Facility
The Little Rock Material Recovery Facility (MRF) has been around since 1921, making it one of the first MRFs in Arkansas. Balcones has operated the facility since 1997 and conducted business as Natural State Recycling since 2015. Now operating as Balcones Recycling, the recycling facility processes industrial and commercial paper and plastic, and provides drop off kiosks for cardboard, paper, aluminum cans, steel cans and glass. Services provided include document and media destruction, the products of which are also recycled.
