Our Dallas Materials Recovery Facility

The Balcones Dallas recycling facility opened its doors in 1995. Located in Farmers Branch, the Dallas recycling facility focuses on commercial and post-industrial paper, metal, and plastics processing and marketing. Along with the Austin location, it pioneered single stream recycling in Texas with the “Everything that TearsTM” program, revolutionizing commercial recycling in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Balcones became the first to offer commercial single stream recycling to Dallas’ class-A office buildings. The company sought to change the way Texas recycles, and the Farmers Branch facility was responsible for making this possible.
